This is the Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair (paid link) and it is awesome! It really is a beast. My son rocks back and forth on this thing with all his might and I have no worry about him tumbling over.

When my son first started in a high chair we used the tray and it was pretty easy to clean. The only down side to this high chair is that the cushion is not very easy to take off & throw in the washer for a deep clean, but it is pretty easy to wipe down with everyday use.

When my son was around 10/11 months we took off the tray and pushed the high chair right up to the table. He loves it! It gave us one less thing to clean and he can eat a meal right at the table with us.

I will say if you have a smaller dining area or an apartment, you might want to look into the Stokke Clikk High Chair (paid link). You can read about my review of it here.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair is great ergonomically. Which is one of the things that drew us to it. It’s important to review how you know baby is ready to start solids & high chair safety before baby starts solids. For instance: baby should not lean back + their hips & knees should both be at a 90 degree angle. You can find a thorough guide on all of that here with Solid Starts.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair also says it uses “Water-based, non-toxic paint” and “No harmful substances/free from bisphenol and phthalates”. Which is great news since baby eats here!
